Meet the VPMA

Dr. Jonathan White, Vice President of Medical Affairs

Jonathan assumed the role of Vice President of Medical Affairs for Huntsville Hospital on Sept. 1, 2022. He grew up in Cullman County and graduated from Cullman High School in 1991, and completed a B.S. in Biology at the University of Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his internal residency at Carraway Medical Center in Birmingham. He has extensive experience as a hospitalist and has held numerous leadership roles at Huntsville Hospital, including Medical Director of IT Services and Medical Director of Palliative Care. Dr. White has been a member of our Medical Staff since July 1, 2015. As VPMA, Dr. White will support the medical staff and quality improvement for Huntsville Hospital. Dr. Chappell will continue in his role as CMO/CQO for the Huntsville Hospital System.
